Baring all for the benefit of her listeners, Self Esteem (aka Rebecca Lucy Taylor)'s new single 'I Do This All The Time' is a cold, hard look at the life of a female artist trying to navigate the trials and tribulations of today's world. Spilling out like a stream of consciousness, Taylor reels off highly personal experiences and advice to herself atop of minimal, R&B-flavoured instrumentation. Broken up occasionally by the encouraging powers of choir singing 'look up, lean back, be strong, you didn't think you'd live this long'. Arriving alongside a simple yet effective video, 'I Do This All The Time' is a brave and inspiring outing from an artist with more courage than most. -Holly Mullineaux
